Does not always blow from east to west, where are you that idea? When I fly from California to Massachusetts as the best way that we are to the east.

In general, possible in the shortest distance, the majority of the people who serve the lowest cost. However, there are some important factors such as climate, open airspace and emergency landing strips in the equation.

Economics. They fly thousands of miles and pick up more passengers than the other way. Plus other benefits for passengers. Although this is only in relation to the details contained in the question. Australians to fly there and back to London via Bangkok / Singapore or via Los Angeles and New York, Sydney. The Pacific route is a QANTAS more active when both the U.S. and Australia is anxious to pave the way for open skies policy.
