I am in the IT industry, or so, but from what I saw looked several options for higher education it seems to me that you three options:
1. University. You can do a diploma in information technology or a more specific level. You have to give may do well in school, but.
2. TAFE. It is generally easy to UNI and less expensive to go. It can also be more convenient. You can start there and then transferred to the university, which means it would be so much pressure on you would get good marks in 12th A degree in information technology is the way of what you can do.
3. Other institutions of higher education. Places like Qantm College (see link) can be good to the source if you are interested in the games. I think the animation in the fields of education, game programming ... this kind of thing. But it seems a bit expensive. If one's own home page for more details.

Regardless of the university, which could possibly study is probably a kind of industry experience program to give you a foot in the door, so you can display information on their websites.
